About Me

Hi! I’m the voice behind Camo Wife Chronicles – Army wife, mum-to-be (or mum, depending on when you’re reading this), book lover, serial overthinker, and dedicated drinker of lukewarm cups of tea I meant to finish an hour ago.

I started this blog as a place to lay my thoughts bare, to document and share the beautifully chaotic mix of military life, pregnancy, and motherhood. Life with someone in the military is never dull. One moment you’re planning a weekend away, and the next you’re adjusting to new orders, new locations, and cancelling all those plans. Add a baby bump (or an actual baby) into the equation, and things get even more interesting.

Here’s a little bit about me:

I’m married to a soldier whose job description seems to include constant surprises (and not in the good way).

I’m navigating first time pregnancy and motherhood with a mix of excitement, exhaustion, humour, and mostly googling.

I love reading (when I get the chance), so expect the odd book review, ramblings, and recommendations sprinkled throughout the blog.

I’m passionate about creating a space where military spouses, parents, or anyone just generally feeling a bit overwhelmed can feel a little less alone.

Thank you for stopping by. If you stick around, there’s plenty more to come in this camouflaged adventure.
